Personal Information Collection Statement

The purpose of this Personal Information Collection Statement (PICS) is to explain matters relating to your personal data which we, Woo Kwan Lee & Lo, collect.  You are advised to read our Privacy Policy Statement for information about our policies and practices in relation to personal data, before providing us with your personal data.

Collection of Personal Data

Your provision of personal data to us is on a voluntary basis.  However, if you fail to provide your personal data, we may not be able to process your application, request or enquiries or carry out activities described in the “Purpose of Collection of Personal Data” section below. 

Purpose of Collection of Personal Data

We may collect and use your personal data for the following purposes, or other purposes which are directly-related to the following purposes:

• Following up, replying or responding to your enquiry, complaint or communication;
• Receiving and carrying out your instructions;
• Provision of legal and other services;
• Carrying out surveys, analysis and research and collating statistical information;
• Recruitment and human resource management;
• Maintaining our system security;
• Disclosure as required by applicable laws, rules and regulations;
• Direct marketing activities;
• Communicate with you on matters that we believe you may be interested; and
• Such other purposes informed by us before or at the time of collection of the data.

For the avoidance of doubt, we will not use your personal data for direct marketing unless we have firstly obtained your consent. 

Disclosure of Personal Data

For the purposes stated in the “Purpose of Collection of Personal Data” section above, we may disclose, provide or transfer your personal data to the following parties, on a need-to-know basis:

• Our staff and employees responsible for carrying out the said purposes;
• Any person, government, regulatory or law enforcement authority or administrative organization to whom we are required to disclose or transfer your personal data under any law, court order, direction, code or guidelines applicable in or outside Hong Kong;
• Any person under a duty of confidentiality to us, including our accountants, legal advisers or other professional advisers; and
• Any other persons to whom you have agreed to disclose, provide and/or transfer your personal data.

Access to and Correction of Personal Data

You have the right to request access to and correction of your personal data collected and held by us.  We may charge a reasonable fee for processing your request.
